St Ives of the Peaks

Had enough hiking? Tired of trekking? Wirksworth is only 25 minutes from our cottage and like a certain well-known Cornish village, it has cottages arrayed picturesquely down the hills, winding up and down lanes and passages to explore, and a thriving art and culture scene with shops and galleries offering local paintings, prints, and other creations. Every Autumn there‘s a large Arts Festival worth visiting too.

Today, after a bite and glass at the brilliant St. Betti’s, we visited Redbrick Retro which opened last week, to restock our DVD collection.
