Stepping Stones, Tors, & the Dove

Walking from Dove Dale car park to the pretty village of Milldale and back is one of THE classic Peak District routes. Halfway along is this footbridge overlooked by several massive pinnacle rock tors. To get there, one of the pleasures is crossing the River Dove at the stepping stones, much beloved by children as they are surrounded by cool waters very suitable for a paddle.

This stunning valley is easily accessed from Catherine Cottage, just a 20 minute drive away.
